Finance Project Officer (Transformation Project)Location: St IvesReporting to: Senior Financial DirectorProject: TransformationSalary: £25.00 - £30.00 per hour PAYEHours: 09:00 – 17:30Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)Duration: 3 monthsWe are partnering with a national company providing property software and compliance solutions, seeking an experienced Finance Project Executive to support a vital finance transformation project at their St Ives offices.In this role you will support the Chief Finance Officer and Finance Director in consolidating several businesses into one legal entity. You will manage and review financial data, ensure smooth transitions, and maintain accurate records.Key Responsibilities
  • Complete finance-related tasks and assist the team in executing financial processes accurately and on time.
  • Compare sales and purchase ledger accounts and set up import files for accurate data transfer.
  • Review and set up cost centres to categorise expenses and financial activities properly.
  • Review supplier lists, credit card information, and other financial data for transfer. Advise suppliers and communicate via email, letter, or phone to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Ensure all accreditations and insurances are up to date, including any necessary name changes.
  • Review bank accounts for direct debits (DDs) and standing orders (SOs), ensuring correct transfers.
  • Assess reporting requirements, business structure changes, and cost centre adjustments.
  • Support contract novation, ensuring smooth transfer of obligations and rights.
  • Aid in transferring suppliers to new accounts or systems.
  • Assist with closing old accounts and transferring or archiving relevant details.
  • Help combine or move items to new finance schedules, including deferred income and fixed assets.

  • Proven track record in a senior finance position with an understanding of good processes, nominal and reporting structures.
  • Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in Excel.
  • Quick learner, capable of navigating complex financial and project information.
  • Strong financial skills and ambition to find creative solutions quickly and at scale.
  • Results-driven pragmatist motivated to solve unique challenges.
  • Experience using SAGE 200.
