This organisation is a registered provider of social housing, specialising in adult social care, and is seeking an Interim Head of Finance on a six-month contract to lead a team of six through year-end and audit. The successful candidate will remain in post until September, ensuring the financial statements are prepared, delivered, and signed off while maintaining the routine of monthly management accounts.
Key duties are:
- Leading and mentoring a team of six finance professionals in the day to day delivery of the organisation’s financial management and reporting requirements.
- Overseeing year-end and ensuring compliance with Housing SORP.
- Preparing statutory accounts and financial statements.
- Managing the audit process and acting as the key liaison for auditors.
- Ensuring monthly management accounts continue to be delivered on time.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery.
To be considered, candidates must:
- Be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Have prior experience leading finance teams.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Housing SORP and year-end financial reporting within a registered provider of social housing.
- Be confident managing audit processes and statutory accounts preparation.
