North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT) is seeking a HHRP Enabling Works Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme (HHRP)—a key part of the New Hospital Programme (NHP).

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong construction and infrastructure expertise, ideally within healthcare or complex public sector environments.
  • Proven experience in leading enabling works - including demolition, groundworks, utilities and site preparation.
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects, overseeing procurement, governance and commercial elements.
  • Stakeholder engagement and leadership, ensuring seamless collaboration between contractors, NHS teams and regulatory bodies.

Main duties of the Job

  • Manage programme teams and external contractors, ensuring successful delivery of pre-construction infrastructure projects.
  • Lead the design, procurement, and delivery of all enabling works for the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme.
  • Ensure all contracts, budgets, and risk management plans align with NHS and government frameworks.
  • Develop and implement governance structures, providing assurance to NHS England, the New Hospital Programme (NHP), and HM Treasury.
