Job description

Encocamare recruiting aFacilities Maintenance Operativeto provide a cost effective, professional building maintenance service across our sites and company houses inHuntingdon. To also assist and support the technical maintenance staff when needed.

Key responsibilities and tasks:-

  • To undertake maintenance and defective repairs work as generated by the Project & Maintenance Co-Ordinator.
  • Liaise and work with the maintenance team, contractors, company house tenants and other members of the public.
  • To liaise with the Project & Maintenance Co-Ordinator on any Health and Safety matters.
  • To assist with the movement and reinstatement of furniture and fixtures as required on site.
  • To work as part of a busy maintenance team.
  • To take care of and properly account for any gardening, plants, equipment, tools and parts.
  • To carry out general maintenance including building and site repairs, fencing, low level rainwater goods repairs. Cleaning footpaths, rubbish and recycling bins, etc.
  • To deal with small, general items of repair and maintenance in the interior and exterior of our buildings: e.g. putting up shelves, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, cleaning lamp shades, cleaning windows. Carrying out routine checks, repairs and maintenance of household equipment, and the exterior of the building.
  • To deal with the general upkeep of the interior by painting and decorating.
  • To promptly ensure that the Project & Maintenance Co-Ordinator is made aware of any maintenance/ repairs etc. which cannot immediately be carried out.
  • To ensure that supplies, equipment etc., are moved or relocated in a safe and effective manner.
  • To be capable of using of high pressure jetting machines, generators and portable tools.
  • To ensure a professional, quality service (external and internal) is provided at all times.
