Job Advert: Early Years Practitioner

About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant team in a well-established Early Years setting in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact on young children's development.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children in their early years, fostering a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment. You will work closely with colleagues to support children's social, emotional, and educational development, ensuring they are ready to take their next steps in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children's learning and development through play-based activities that promote key areas of development, including language, motor skills, and socialisation
- Plan and implement activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Observe and assess children's progress, recording observations and sharing with parents and team members
- Foster positive relationships with children, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and supported
- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and independence
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment that meets the needs of all children
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure a high standard of care and education
- Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and development
- Assist with daily routines, such as mealtimes, nappy changes, and outdoor play
About You:
- Proven experience working in an Early Years setting, ideally within a nursery, preschool, or reception class
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development
- Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
- Patient, caring, and able to create a positive, nurturing environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and engage with parents
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent) is desirable
- Experience in supporting children with additional needs is desirable but not essential
