Staffline is recruiting Trimming Operatives to work in Alconbury.

This is a fixed term contract of 6 months with guaranteed hours.

You must be able to follow a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, the hours of work are:

Days - 7:30am to 7:30pm

The rate of pay is:

- Grape Trimmer (From day 1) £11.80 per hour
- Grape Trimmer (After 4 Rotations) £12.05 per hour
- Grape Champion (After 12 weeks only) £12.50 per hour

Transport is provided from 4 different locations in Peterborough for £8 per day

Your Time at Work

The Trimming Operative role is an integral part of the manufacturing team, where you will be guided by a line leader. You will collaborate closely with other operatives both on the production line and throughout the manufacturing facility.

As a Trimming Operative, your duties include:

- Playing a key role in the team to ensure daily targets are met and high-quality fruit is delivered to customers on time.
- Trimming grapes at the required speed, which may vary depending on the variety.
- Ensuring products are correctly labeled, packed, and weighed.
- Developing an understanding of quality standards to identify and remove defects and report any products with significant quality issues.
- Being adaptable to switching between lines and product varieties, adjusting to the required pace of work.
- Accurately weighing products and using systems to perform this efficiently.
- Supporting new starters once you're confident and comfortable in the role.
- Understanding and upholding food safety and integrity standards, ensuring they are maintained across your line at all times.
- Promoting a safe working environment by following health and safety protocols and ensuring trimming scissors are properly maintained and stored.
- Minimising waste by disposing of it properly and safely.

This role will involve standing for long periods of time, there may also be some heavy lifting required.

Adaptability will be essential to meet the evolving needs of the business.
