Role Details:
- School: A welcoming infant academy with a strong community feel and a focus on inclusive education.
- Year Group: EYFS/Infants (3-form entry, open-plan setting)
- Needs Supported: SEMH, learning difficulties, key individuals with high SEN needs
- Team Structure: 5 other TAs supporting the classes
- School Context: New leadership in place for the last 3 years, with some recent TA departures
- Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- Requirements: Level 3 qualification preferred
Responsibilities:
As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide support to students with significant SEN needs, including those with SEMH and learning difficulties.
- Work closely with key individuals to encourage their participation in both learning and social activities.
- Assist teachers in maintaining a well-managed and engaging open-plan classroom environment.
- Collaborate with a team of five other TAs to deliver a structured and supportive learning experience.
- Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where pupils feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
