Senior Service Desk Analyst

Circa £35k

Our prestigious retail client based in Cambridge is looking for a talented Senior Service Desk Analyst to join the team to provide the first point of contact in the IT department for all IT-based queries and be the escalation point for our Service Desk Analysts.

Key Skills:

  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • Be technically competent with a good all-around knowledge of Windows 10, 11, Microsoft 365 and Teams.
  • Have some exposure to the following: Azure Entra, Intune, Azure Admin and SharePoint.
  • Be able to own complex service requests, incidents, and problems through to resolution.
  • Provide excellent hardware and application support to business customers.
  • Be comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization and translating technical resolutions to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to the firm's users, handling a variety of IT issues and service requests efficiently across all physical sites, including site visits.
  • Act as a technical expert within the first-line team, offering guidance and mentoring to other team members.
  • Ensure day-to-day IT operation checks are fulfilled, such as system backup checks, application availability, etc., and address failures or raise them with the necessary team where required.
  • Produce high standards of documentation, such as user guides and technical procedures.
  • Contribute to and, where appropriate, lead on various IT tasks and projects, such as maintaining inventories, hardware, and software provisioning.
  • Liaise closely with the second-line Infrastructure and Application teams and escalate calls as necessary.
  • Take a leading role in maintaining excellent cyber security standards with the Service Desk team.
