Broster Buchanan are partnered with a leading retail goods supplier who are looking for an IT Project Manager to join at a pivotal point of business growth and expansion. This is an exciting new role which will manage their key IT projects and change as part of their huge digital transformation.The role is being offered with a salary of £55k - £65k and would require someone near Alconbury, near Huntingdon, as the role will be onsite 3 days per week on average with core hours of 8 - 5 Monday - Friday.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects are following the agreed project lifecycle, that they have a budget that is being tracked and managed and that the project stages gates are passed within the agreed timeframe and scope.
  • Work with business process managers and supplier teams to define the scope, tasks, deliverables, and resource requirements for successful delivery at each stage of the project.
  • Manage the engagement and contribution of subject matter experts from the operational business at each stage of the project to ensure its success.
  • In agreement with the Lead IT Project Manager define the appropriate project controls, artefacts, and processes to ensure delivery of the project within the agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets using standard project management tools.
  • Identify and manage appropriate resources required to complete projects.
  • Ensure efficient change control methods and processes are in place and utilised.
  • Prepare project status reporting and communicate the project status to all stakeholders, including the steering committee and project stage gate reviews.
  • Monitor project risk factors, escalate issues and provide quality assurance for all deliverables across the portfolio
  • Manage third party companies to ensure agreed deliverables are met
  • Ensure documentation is completed through the build of the project and the project is transitioned to BAU successfully.
Requirements:
  • Expertise and experience in implementing cloud-based business critical applications.
  • Exceptional technical project management skills and the ability to apply different methodologies as required. 
  • Experience across a range of SaaS based platforms, with industry experience in Manufacturing/FMCG (or similar).
  • Experience in Vendor management and the ability to manage suppliers in the delivery of SaaS solutions.
  • Ability to communicate project status, scope changes, milestone achievement, misses and implications to stakeholders at all levels (both internal and external).
