IT Support Technician

30,000 to 35,000 Plus benefits

Purpose of the IT Support Technician:

Our friendly busy Sawtry based client have a medium sized team, they are looking for a First and Second Line IT Support Technician to support their internal staff. You will be responsible for triaging the helpdesk tickets, assessing, fixing or escalating them.

Main duties for the IT Support Technician:

  • Ensure the Helpdesk is monitored throughout the day. You would be responsible for the helpdesk and managing workflow.
  • Ensuring staff have all the necessary equipment. (Screens, headsets, keyboards etc)
  • Support staff with Sage X3, Power BI and general IT queries.
  • Manage user onboarding, including user creation, equipment provision and IT induction.
  • Asset management. Managing as asset list and keeping it regularly updated as new people start and leave.

Skills required for the IT Support Technician:

  • Experience of the following programs:
  • Sage X3, Power BI and MS SQL, Microsoft Office, Windows Server.
  • Experience of managing a helpdesk.
  • Super communicator, you will need to able to liaise with all levels of staff.
  • Work under pressure and be able to think on your feet.
  • IT Support can be demanding, ideally you will have a great sense of humour, excellent time keeping and an understanding of urgency.

Hours of work for the IT Support Technician:

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm
