Broster Buchanan are partnered with a leading retail goods supplier who are looking for a Technical Consultant/Solution Architect to join at a pivotal point of business growth and expansion. This is an exciting new role which will be the technical lead to design and build the technology platform to enable the major transformation of the business’s technology platforms. Some background in manufacturing/FMCG (or similar) is essential.The role is being offered on a 12 month FTC basis with a salary of £70k - £80k + bonus and would require someone near Alconbury, near Huntingdon, as the role will be onsite 3 days per week on average with core hours of 8 - 5 Monday - Friday.Responsibilities:
  • Document, architect and deliver a new digital landscape, with its associated integrations and integrated applications.
  • Ensure solution architecture is in line with established best practices for timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Technical champion for the implementation and configuration of environments, aligning with the architectural blueprints set out through the governance process.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Transformation team and third party partners to develop the implementation roadmap and be the central point of contact for collaborating with their partners to achieve their vision.
  • Identify requirements and hurdles within the current environment and ensure that tasks and requirements are captured and understood.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to establish an effective data strategy and approach to guarantee that the data environment and integration platform meets business requirements for seamless data flow throughout the ecosystem.
  • Provide “As-Built” documentation and knowledge articles to ensure a smooth transition during handover.
Requirements:
  • An Engineering/Software/Application background with a good knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Cloud delivery. ITIL/TOGAF certifications would be beneficial.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (CPG/FMCG) is essential, with knowledge of key concepts including MRP and integrating manufacturing automation
  • Experience in delivering WMS and ERP systems (ideally a manufacturing ERP)
  • Experience moving applications to SaaS and cloud based platforms, with a strong understanding of the configuration, delivery and management of cloud technologies
  • Significant experience managing and engaging with technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Expertise in designing and delivering business processes and digital transformation
