Broster Buchanan are partnered with a leading retail goods supplier who are looking for a Systems Architect to join at a pivotal point of business growth and expansion. This is an exciting new role which will help design and build the technology platform to enable the major transformation of the businessā€™s technology platforms. This would suit someone with a strong background working with and architecting manufacturing/FMCG systems and processes.The role is being offered with a salary of Ā£65k and would require someone near Alconbury, near Huntingdon, as the role will be onsite 3 days per week on average with core hours of 8 - 5 Monday - Friday.Responsibilities:
  • Design, document and deliver new business systems, associated integrations, and integrated applications.Ā 
  • Understanding of the current business systems landscape and the delivery of a roadmap to the future state.Ā 
  • Technical lead for the hands-on delivery and configuration of business systems to meet the architectural designs agreed through the governance process.Ā 
  • Identifying requirements and problems in the current as-built systems and ensuring that tasks and requirements are captured and understood.Ā 
  • Collaborate and work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure that an appropriate business systems strategy meets business requirements.Ā Ā Ā 
  • Ensure clear documentation of designs (HLD and LLD) and implementation of solutions to the agreed architecture.Ā 
  • Deliver systems and integrations as per agreed designs through close collaboration with 3rd parties and strategic partners.Ā Ā 
  • On delivery ensure that solutions integrate all parts of the business model including processes, operating systems, and application architectures.Ā Ā 
  • Deliver ā€œAs-Builtā€ documentation and knowledge articles to ensure that business systems can be handed over during service transition.Ā 
  • Ensure that systems have the appropriate support available to meet business requirements.
Requirements:
  • A strong systems background particularly in a similar manufacturing/FMCG environment, with knowledge of key concepts such as MRP and integrating manufacturing automation into business systems.
  • Strong system design and architecture background, with the ability to design and implement appropriate solutions to meet complex business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience of engaging stakeholders (technical and non-technical) to gain buy-in for business systems decisions and approaches.Ā 
  • Analytic skills with the ability to quickly understand business processes and technical requirements and then combine both for the most appropriate solution.
