Immediate start - 3 months contract initially

Our client is looking for an IT Trainer to join their team on an interim basis. Reporting intotheBusiness Systems Service Manager, the IT trainer will be responsibleforthedevelopmentoftrainingmaterialsandmethodsof delivery, primarily online, e-learning and blended learning, across our client. Theprimaryfocusfortheroleisto befluentinappropriatetoolsto enablee-learninginanysectorofthe organisation, and in a few cases, to plan and deliver appropriate and consistent Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) so that CCC can obtain optimum value from IT systems.

This is a hybrid role, however there will be a requirement to work from the office at various points during the month.

Key responsibilities of the IT Trainer:

  • Developandmaintainhighqualitytrainingresources,suchastrainingmaterials,guidanceand user documentation, that reflect a range of blended learning approaches focusing on e- learning, and virtual instructor led training to support and enhance IT learning bystaff.
  • Highlevelofexpertise andskillsintheuseofthetoolstodevelope-learningmaterials.
  • Maintain a broad level of knowledge in relevant business processes to inform the developmentandchangeofITprocessesandtosupporttrainingprogrammedevelopment and delivery.
  • Responsiblefortheorganisationofsystemtrainingsessions includingthemethodofdelivery, arranging dates, venues, take up, monitoring progress, quality andevaluation, with the focus on virtual instructor led training (VILT) and e-learning.
  • ResearchanddevelopITsystemstrainingresourcesforservicespecificITsystemsto ensure the provision of consistent and appropriate programmes for staff so that they may fully utilise systems that support their operational activities.
  • Ensurethattrainingincludestheprinciplesofgooddatainputpracticeappropriatetothe differentfunctionalteamsandisinaccordancewithagreedstandards tosupport maintenance of data quality throughout the specific service systems.
  • Supportanetworkofsuperusersandbeapointofliaisonthroughouttherelevantservicesto communicate and promote best practice.
  • Attend learning and development meetings with partners and stakeholdersasafront-linerepresentativeoftheITTrainingteam where appropriate.Thesecanbeatlocal, regional and national level.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Knowledge of training skills and needs analysis
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a training role with a sound grasp of e- learning, VILT and alternative training methods and delivery
