Employment Lawyer

Permanent, Full-time with significant remote working

Location: Cambridgeshire

Salary: £43,000- £56,750 | Generous Benefits Package

Our client is an innovative public body organisation based in the Northern Home Counties is seeking a pro-active and motivated Employment Lawyer to join their legal services team. In this role you will provide high quality and comprehensive specialist legal advice to client organisations and schools on employment and education matters amongst other things.

The Role

  • Ensure client compliance with statutory duties and obligations and to protect the best interests of the client organisations
  • Attend courts and tribunals undertaking advocacy where required
  • Represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties
  • Build highly effective working relationships and provide seamless and client focussed service
  • Supervise and Line Manage the activities of the team, including performance, caseloads and productivity, motivation and development.
  • Contribute to the development, training or mentoring of colleagues

What You Bring

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx
  • At least 2 years PQE gained in a local authority setting is desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated understanding of the local government framework in relation to Employment, Education and Governance
