Staffline is recruiting a Logistics Administrator to work in Alconbury.

Transport is available from 4 locations in Peterborough

The rates of pay are:
- Day Shift £12.49 per hour

Overtime is available after working 48 hours and paid at:
- Day Shift £15.61 per hour

The shifts for Logistics Administrators are:
- Days 6am to 6pm

This is a full-time role; full-time availability is expected.

This is a temporary position

Your Time at Work

As a Logistics Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and timely logistics operations and transport bookings for customers are accurate and completed on time. Your duties will include:

- Dealing with logistics paperwork, ensuring all documentation is processed in a timely manner
- Handling calls from haulers and relevant parties regarding any issues or updates
- Managing 3rd party farms' shipments, creating necessary bookings, and ensuring the correct details are input into the booking system
- Maintaining a clean, organized work environment while adhering to health and safety standards
- Collaborating cross-functionally across the operations, supply chain, commercial, and other departments

Responsibilities will also include:
- Ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Booking transport via Excel and web portals for the main site as well as 3rd parties
- Answering calls and handling both internal and external queries, communicating issues in a timely, professional manner
- Acting as the first point of contact for drivers, hauliers, and other stakeholders through various communication channels (phone, email, face-to-face)
- Liaising with customers, haulers, drivers, and warehouse teams to minimize delays and notify the appropriate departments of any delays (commercial, logistics, and supply chain)
- Working in temperature-controlled areas
- Processing and checking paperwork for drivers and 3rd party shipments
- Collaborating with colleagues on shift, supporting section leaders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled without shortages
- Assisting section leaders in logistics operations as required
- Creating and managing shipments and adding them to the booking system

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Logistics Administrator must have previous admin experience and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The successful candidate will have a strong background in English, Maths, and computing, with the ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines and delivering exceptional customer service.

A flexible approach to work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. The successful candidate will be a team player, focused on achieving departmental goals while respecting the needs of others.

Experience in an administrative or similar logistics role is essential.
