Summary

We are looking for an energetic and driven individual who speaks Polish fluently to take on the role of Warehouse and Logistics Manager within our client's team in Huntingdon. The successful candidate will lead a focused team in the warehouse and logistics division, establishing goals, performance metrics, and responsibilities, while developing and implementing strategies to align with the company's overall goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead warehouse and small production staff, adapting to the company's evolving needs.
  • Identify and resolve logistical challenges through innovative solutions.
  • Enhance business performance while adhering to legislative and environmental constraints.
  • Work closely with the IT department on projects to improve warehouse systems.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient receipt of containers, managing staff availability for smooth operations.
  • Enforce procedures related to health, safety, hygiene, and security in collaboration with the Health, Safety, and Compliance Officer.
  • Refine and optimise the company's delivery strategy.
  • Oversee stock control, storage layout, and movement within all warehouses to maximise efficiency.
  • Manage the maintenance of buildings, sites, and equipment to ensure continuous productivity.
  • Oversee third-party servicing to maintain energy efficiency in warehouses.
  • Recruit and manage warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company procedures and maintaining discipline.
  • Liaise with suppliers to secure cost-effective logistical solutions.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE/T Levels or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • A degree in Operations, Logistics, or Leadership, or equivalent qualifications, is preferred.
  • Strong background in a senior management role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Understanding of production and manufacturing procedures.
  • High proficiency in Excel and excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in people management and working to tight deadlines.
  • Strategic planning abilities, KPI monitoring, and team collaboration.
  • Project management skills, experience with racking, maintenance, and site management, and an understanding of Net Zero targets.
