Location: HuntingdonSalary: £38,000Hours: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)Summary:Are you an experienced and motivated Transport Supervisor looking for an opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced logistics environment? This multi-drop operation calls for a driven individual with supervisory experience gained within a busy transport function. Working closely with the senior transport management team, you will ensure a customer-centric and financially efficient operation is maintained.
This role is working from Monday - Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily transport operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Lead, coach and develop the transport team.
- Allocate fleet and crews to correct routes.
- Ensure briefing and de-briefings are undertaken for all transport movements.
- Manage driver performance and ensure relevant information is recorded for transport KPIs.
- Manage drivers' hours in line with working time legislation.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience at Supervisor level or equivalent within a transport operation.
- Transport Manager CPC is essential.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation.
- Proficiency in transport management systems and route planning software.
