Multi-Skilled Factory Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Factory Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to coverall all site maintenance and machine breakdowns.

Job Description:

As a Multi-Skilled Factory Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of factory equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your role will involve preventive, corrective, predictive, routine, and emergency maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on factory equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform immediate repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a factory or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications or technical training is a plus.

You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

  • Start Time: Monday - Friday 07.30am
  • Finish Times: Monday 4:00pm, Tuesday - 4:30pm, Wednesday/Thursday - 5:00pm & Friday - 12:00 mid-day

Commutable from Huntingdon, Cambridge, Sandy, St. Neots, Bedford, Biggleswade, Letchworth Garden City, Cambourne, Royston, Cambourne, Saffron Walden.
