Early Years Apprentice

Location: Huntingdon

Salary: £8.50 - £9.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday between 8am-6pm.

The Role

One of the Day Nurseries is located on the picturesque Brampton High Street, 2 miles from Huntingdon Town. The nursery is open from 8.00am – 6.00pm 52 weeks a year and are closed for Public Holidays.

The other Day Nursery is a purpose built Day Nursery. They have the capacity for 65 children split between three rooms: 0-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-5 years. The nursery employs full and part-time staff and is open from 8.00am – 6.00pm 52 weeks a year. They are closed for Public Holidays.

Learning to be an outstanding Early Years Educator, whilst working within the Nursery, attending a level 3 childcare course through a registered provider, with the nurturing support of an outstanding team of professionals. Once qualified you will be:

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with children and outstanding parent partnerships.
  • Providing a safe, hygienic, caring and stimulating environment for the children.
  • Ensuring that the physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care provided to children is of the highest standard.
  • Planning, carrying out and recording fun, inspirational and educational play and learning opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • English & Maths GCSE's at grade C or functional skills level 2 in English & Maths is required.
