A well-established Architectural & General Metalwork Fabricator in Kimbolton is seeking a Quantity Surveyor.
The role involves working on steel structures for various projects in the construction industry, alongside Project Managers and independently managing a portfolio of projects.
Candidates should possess a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Civil/Structural Engineering and have significant commercial management experience on-site.
The salary for this position ranges from £50K to £60K, depending on experience, along with 21 days of holiday plus bank holidays and other benefits.
The position is full-time, requiring 42.5 hours per week in the office, with a preference for candidates with knowledge of steelwork or metalwork.

A well-established Architectural & General Metalwork Fabricator based in Kimbolton are looking for a Quantity Surveyor. The company that the Quantity Surveyor will be working for manufacture Steel Structures for the Construction Industry working on a range of retail, commercial, residential, infrastructure and utility projects.

The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely alongside a team of Project Managers and will work independently on a portfolio of steelwork projects. The Quantity Surveyor will play a client facing role, support the growth of the project management team, and deliver projects from feasibility through to completion.

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

Assessing applications from subcontractors
Preparing/ sorting tender pack information
Receiving and comparing quotes for future projects
Assessing payment notices
Ensure cost control is maintained on project basis throughout procurement, delivery and design, through to final account stage.
Monitor Project Costs
Pricing variation
Collating Bills of Quantities
Collate information for Final Accounts
Attend financial meetings

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

Degree or HNC within a Quantity Surveying or Civil / Structural Engineering Discipline
Working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Commercial Management works on site
Experience working in a commercial role
Understanding of steelwork or metalwork preferred
Excellent IT skills - especially Excel and Google Sheets
Effective communication skills
A full UK driving licence

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

Salary Dependant on experience £50K - £60k
21 days holiday + BH
