About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you'll play a vital role in nurturing a love for food, cooking, and nutrition in students. This hands-on and rewarding role involves:
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach at KS5 depending on your experience and expertise.
- Creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment that combines practical cooking skills with essential knowledge of food science, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Inspiring creativity and innovation in the kitchen, encouraging students to experiment with flavors, ingredients, and culinary techniques.
- Collaborating with a supportive team of Technology teachers, sharing best practices and contributing to departmental development.
About You:
- You are a qualified teacher holding QTS, with a specialisation in Food Technology or a related field.
- You possess a strong understanding of the Food Technology curriculum and are passionate about promoting healthy eating habits.
- You demonstrate excellent communication, classroom management, and practical cooking skills, creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- You are enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation of chefs and food enthusiasts.
