Teach Agency are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of History and Humanities to join our client’s popular secondary school based in Cambridgeshire. The post could suit an ECT as well as a more experienced candidate. An ability to teach other Humanities subjects is desirable but not essential.This is a permanent role to commence in January 2025.

Humanities is popular, and growing within the School and the successful candidate will be working within a supportive Faculty, staffed by specialist teachers who all have a passion for the subjects.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a passionate and dedicated team looking to expand the experiences of the young people in the school’s setting . The successful candidate will be expected to fully contribute to the planning and delivery of lessons and schemes of learning, as well as participate in teaching and learning CPD programme as and when required.

Key Requirements

  • Have a confident understanding of the curriculum for Humanities subjects, and show a real passion for the subject.
  • Have the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
  • Have a proven record of teaching RE, History or Geography in KS3 and KS4
  • Carry out assessment programmes as agreed by the department and school.
  • Have excellent classroom management skills ensuring pupils feel safe, secure, supported and valued.

The ideal candidate must

  • Have a degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have an updated C.V
  • Be entitled to work in the UK
  • Have a Enhanced DBS and be on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
