Our client is a leading global packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to expansion plans and new production lines being installed, they are looking for a multi-skilled shift engineer.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical & mechanical PPM, breakdowns and continuous improvement work
  • Working on high-speed production & packaging machinery, industrial processing equipment, site services & associated plant, robotics & automation
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding and problem solving
  • Monitor machine performance, reliability & efficiencies
  • PLC - minor electrical fault finding - Siemens, Mitsubishi & Allen Bradley
  • Support site installation projects, test & inspection work
  • Required to work at heights, in confined spaces and lifting of heavy equipment/parts

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Ideally be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer
  • Must have strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills
  • Comfortable with being part of a training & development plan where salary increases over time
  • Must have at least 5 years experience of working in high-speed manufacturing
  • Need to have a "get stuck in approach" and willing to get hands dirty
  • Comfortable with working at heights, heavy lifting and working in confined spaces
  • Worked with gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drives, sensors, motors
  • Happy with carrying out mechanical fault finding & overhauls on industrial equipment
  • Beneficial to have PLC fault finding skills
  • Must be able to read and follow electrical & mechanical drawings/schematics
  • Need to have Driving Licence & Car, as site has no access to public transport due to location
