We are delighted to be working with our client on a brilliant Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist role. Our client is a dedicated, independent Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy practice known for their warm and supportive approach. They work directly with families and children across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and nationally through teletherapy, providing essential therapy services to children with diverse needs.This role is open to sponsorship for applicants with a minimum of 2 years Paediatric Speech and Language experience.
Location: Initially Cambridgeshire, then based in Brandon, Suffolk.
The role is ideal for a an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (working at a band 5/6 level):
- You're a qualified speech and language therapist with HCPC registration and full membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Applications from overseas candidates may be accepted providing you already have or are in the processes of getting your HCPC registration.
- You must demonstrate that you are a great team player, you are able to work independently, you have a 'thinking outside the box' approach, and that you're happy to work with a range of people.
- You must have your own car and be confident to drive everyday in rural locations. There is parking on site at the clinic but mostly you will be travelling to the family's homes and schools.
- You will be initially travelling to schools and children's homes in the Cambridgeshire area, then based on-site in Brandon, Suffolk once the new clinic premises are complete (in about four months).
- You've got experience across various settings, such as children's homes, clinics, nurseries, and schools, or the confidence to work in these environments with minimal guidance.
- You're a strong communicator who has a collaborative spirit, able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
Tasks but not limited to:
- Independently manage a caseload of children aged preschool through adolescence, who present with general communication difficulties and/or complex needs
- Conduct assessments, plan, and deliver speech and language therapy
- Work across a variety of settings, including home visits, clinics, nurseries, and schools, adapting to meet each child’s unique needs
- Engage with families, building strong rapport to facilitate positive therapy outcomes
- Rely on both your problem-solving skills and regular supervision to grow your expertise while taking responsibility for your caseload from day one
