Surveyor - Civil Construction - Huntingdon Area

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Surveyor to support our construction projects across Huntingdon/Cambridgeshire. Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, this role is primarily field-based and responsible for carrying out accurate surveys, site set-outs, and data collection to support the successful delivery of civil and/or building works.

You'll work closely with the Senior Surveyor and site teams to ensure the data captured aligns with project specifications, helping maintain high standards of precision, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out on-site surveying, set-out, and spatial measurements using total stations, GPS, and other survey equipment.

  • Support construction teams with accurate layout and alignment based on engineering and architectural plans.

  • Capture, process, and upload survey data for review and reporting.

  • Assist the Senior Surveyor with quality control, progress checks, and compliance documentation.

  • Maintain equipment and manage calibration schedules.

  • Identify discrepancies or issues on-site and report them promptly.

  • Ensure adherence to WHS standards and contribute to safe site practices.

About You:

  • Familiarity with survey instruments and software such as Trimble, Leica, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.

  • Comfortable working in outdoor and construction site environments.

  • Able to communicate clearly and work well under the guidance of senior staff.

  • White Card and valid driver's license required.
