Warehouse Operative - Goods In

Location: Near St Ives, CambridgeshireSalary: £23,795 - £25,000 DOEHours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (some overtime required)Benefits: Contributory pension scheme, private healthcare, group life insurance (2x salary), and additional pay for First Aider or FLT Key User roles

Join our client's dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Operative focusing on Goods In. We’re looking for a proactive, reliable individual to manage incoming deliveries, maintain accurate stock records, and support our warehouse operations with efficiency and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, log, unload, label, and store all stock in line with company guidelines
  • Organize warehouse space, ensuring tidiness and efficient stock placement
  • Conduct stock checks and manage stock rotation to prevent product expiration
  • Prepare orders by accurately picking, packing, and securely wrapping items for dispatch
  • Assist with the unloading of deliveries and dispatch processes
  • Use correct lifting and mechanical aids to handle heavy goods safely
  • Oversee vehicle movements in the yard, ensuring smooth operations
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely stock delivery
Skills & Requirements
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is highly advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to safely handle heavy goods and familiarity with lifting equipment
  • Good communication skills for liaising across teams and providing accurate feedback
  • Willingness to support continuous improvement and review warehouse processes
