We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker (Supervised Contact) to join a well established team at Knowsley Councils Children's Services team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for making a difference in the lives of families and children, offering critical support and supervised contact services in a caring and professional environment.

  • 18.22 LTD per hour inclusive of holiday pay
  • 36 hours per week (9-5pm)
  • 8 Month Initial Contract with possibility of extension after this


Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervised contact sessions for families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Facilitate positive interactions between family members while adhering to safeguarding policies.
  • Support children and families with their specific needs, helping to strengthen family relationships.
  • Record and report on interactions, providing accurate documentation for case reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, managers, and other team members to ensure effective service delivery.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in social care, family support, or a related field (qualifications not required, but experience is essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families effectively.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to manage reports and case notes accurately.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and the ability to apply these principles during family sessions.
