Job Description:
CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for experienced and motivated Bench Joiners to join our client's team in Hyde area. Our client specializes in crafting high-quality bespoke outdoor furniture, and they are looking for candidates who are passionate about joinery, fit, and healthy to perform physically demanding tasks.
As a skilled Joiner, you will be responsible for assembling various structures using a range of hand and power tools while applying advanced joinery techniques. This role is well-suited for someone who has hands-on experience, can interpret complex technical drawings, and is eager to contribute to the production of top-tier outdoor furniture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bolting Metal to Timber: Safely and efficiently secure metal fittings to wooden frames using power tools.
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Accurately read and execute complex designs and technical drawings.
- Using Hand and Power Tools: Proficiently use a range of tools including saws, drills, and sanders to assemble, cut, and shape materials.
- Joinery Techniques: Apply precise joinery methods to create strong and durable connections between wood and metal.
- Heavy Lifting & Fast-Paced Work: Be prepared for a physically demanding environment that requires frequent lifting and consistent pace.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or in a similar woodworking or joinery role.
- Technical Skills: Must be proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and advanced joinery techniques.
- Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and work from complex technical drawings is essential.
- Physical Fitness: Fit, healthy, and capable of handling the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
