The Role and School

Are you a enthusiastic and engaging individual ready for your next SEND Primary Teacher role in a Primary School within Tameside, Hyde? We are looking for an inclusive, determined and motivated Primary Teacher to join a SEND HIVE team within a Primary School within Hyde. The role is to commence immmediately or the 3rd of February 2025 for the right person.

The HIVE contains 15 SEND children with multiple needs including ASC, ADHD and SEMH. The HIVE unit is a well supported team with 3 specialised Teaching Assistants to support the Teacher. The role does require you to be a resilient individual with experience supporting children with high needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help create a positive and comfortable environment for the children, managing behaviour support.
  • Be able to adapt various activities and experiences in school for the class. This can include planning for the lessons and collaborating with the team on what should be delivered
  • Be responsible for a SEND class, showing respect and care for each student in the class whilst also showing a good level of tolerance.

Requirements

  • Hold a QTS (Qualified Primary Teacher Status) and/or PGCE qualification.
  • Have previous experience working with SEND needs within a classroom setting.
  • Have strong team-working and communication skills to work efficiently and effectively with a wider team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
