Tradewind are looking to recruit a Year 3 teacher for a wonderful school in a diverse community in Hyde, Tameside. The role will be part-time from January until the end of the academic year (at least) on a 2.5 day a week structure. This Year 3 position will be paid to scale offering an attractive salary of up to £223 per day and offers a supportive environment in which you can thrive. Both ECTs and experienced teachers will be considered and the school are excited to bring on an addition to the KS2 team who will be committed to making a strong impact!

This Ofsted rated 'Good' school proudly educates children from a wide variety of backgrounds. The school is led by a very experienced Headteacher who has been there for over 10 years who is clearly dedicated to their role and improving the lives and learning for all pupils at the school. Classrooms are calm and quiet as a result of an effective behaviour management policy and close relationships are established between staff, children and families. Experience within a demographic of high social and emotional needs will be hugely beneficial - this really is a rewarding place to work!

Part-time Teacher - Year 3

As the LKS2 teacher, you will be responsible for a Year 3 class of approximately 30 children. There is a small percent of SEND in the class but the successful teacher will need to implement strategies to combat social and emotional behaviours and tendencies.

As the Year 3 teacher, you will be required to:

  • Carry out professional duties and have responsibility for an assigned class.
  • You will be tasked with creating exciting and engaging lessons aiming to utilise all of the schools resources looking far beyond the confines of a classroom.
  • Complete appropriate teaching, marking and assessment activities so each child can achieve their potential.
  • Emply differentiation and individualised learning strategies required to meet the needs of all pupils who will have had varying degrees of success in their educational lives.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
  • Promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.
