We’re hiring for a Production Supervisor to join a leading engineering manufacturer of high-grade fittings at their modernised site based in Hyde, Tameside. Your role will involve supervising all shop floor employees to ensure all production expectations are met.

£33,000 - £35,00 per annum
Performance related bonus scheme (4% of salary)
Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:15pm / Friday 1:00pm finish

What will you be doing as a Production Supervisor?

Leading the department to ensure productivity targets are met in line with customer demand; supervising and motivating the team
Acting as the main link between sales and production
Providing a level of customer service support to the planning/sales teams
Helping identify lean activities to ensure efficiency savings
Liaising with all internal company departments as and when required, to ensure the smooth running of the department
Liaising with appropriate Managers where production problems threaten effectiveness or efficiency
Carrying out appraisals and training for direct reports

What do you need?

Previous experience as a Production Supervisor / Team Leader / Manager
A background within mechanical engineering is preferred but not essential
Lean manufacturing / Kaizen experience would be advantageous
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departmental lines
A commitment to continuous personal and professional development
