Science teacher - Stockport - January start A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school on the outskirts of Stockport, to join them teaching key stage 3 & 4 science from January until December 2025 on a full time baasis, teaching ey stage 3 & 4 classes of varying academic ability. Please indicate which science subject is your specialism. This position is open to ECTs as well as experienced science teachers and will be to cover a permanent member of staff on maternity leave. You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. A key focus in the classroom is AfL which helps guide teaching, throughout the whole school. Hours 8:30am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in science connected subject. Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) in science Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching science in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided). TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.
