We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Home Manager to lead the commissioning of a brand new, state-of-the-art elderly nursing home located in Hythe, UK. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing exceptional care for the elderly and is looking to be a part of something new and innovative.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the commissioning process of the new nursing home, ensuring all necessary preparations are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the home
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated staff to provide high-quality care for residents
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, their families, and staff
  • Monitor and manage the home's budget, ensuring financial targets are met
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of care provided to residents
  • Handle any issues or concerns that may arise and take appropriate action to resolve them
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Home Manager in a similar setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of current regulations and legislation related to the care of the elderly
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
  • Experience in commissioning a new nursing home is highly desirable
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or RGN or equivalent
