The below job description will outline this position of: Paint Shop Team Leader
Typically, this person will have a background in spray and brush painting in a marine setting.
HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.
Duties and responsibilities of the Paint Shop Team Leader:
• Good working knowledge of Awlgrip and International 2-pack paint systems.
• Good working knowledge of hand painting techniques. Interior, Exterior.
• Working in a team when doing large scale jobs, spraying yacht interiors, sanding, and working independently on smaller tasks such as varnishing joinery components
• Excellent eye for detail
• Mixing of paints and primers, a knowledge of different lacquers and suitable primers • Keeping track of work that needs to be completed and all its progress.
• Liaison with other team leads from different departments.
Qualifications and requirement for the Paint Shop Team Leader:
• Health and safety, ensuring the correct PPE is being used when working, and understanding of paint system’s requirements.
• Confident in the working of painting and varnishing procedures.
• Marine experience highly desirable.
• Needs to have previous experience managing and supervising a team or our client would look at some looking to take the next step up.
• Confident in using computers- excel etc
