Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary School Teacher to join our educational team in Derbyshire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students, fostering their academic growth and personal development. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to educate effectively, and a commitment to promoting inclusivity within the classroom.

Duties

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Educate students in various subjects, with a focus on English and special education needs.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide feedback on student progress and address any concerns.
  • Employ behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Provide tutoring support to students who require additional assistance in their studies.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Skills

  • Strong ability to educate and inspire students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and behaviour management strategies.
  • Proficiency in teaching English language skills, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
  • Experience in providing tutoring or additional support for students needing extra help.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that respects diversity and promotes equality.
