Accounts Assistant- North West Leicestershire - Part-time (25-30 hours per week, ideally over 5 days)

About the Role:We're looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team in North West Leicestershire, overseeing the entire purchase ledger process. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll ensure smooth financial operations from purchase orders to invoice reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Match and code purchase invoices, investigating discrepancies.
  • Enter invoices into the accounts system and prepare BACS payment runs.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage cashbook postings.
  • Address purchase ledger queries and support cash posting.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with audit preparation and general finance tasks.
  • Provide sales ledger support and assist with cashbook maintenance.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Finance Background: At least 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and excellent organisational skills.
  • Independence: Able to manage tasks autonomously and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: A cooperative team player, ready to assist where needed.
