Package includes paid overtime (up to 2x) and a bonus scheme. Approximately 23 days holiday with a pension contribution of up to 10% dependent on employee’s contribution.

Continental shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights rotation – 6-6

About the client

ATA are supporting a world class figure in a heavy industry role, who are looking for multiple maintenance engineers to add to an extensive team of over 2500 employees across 36 sites over the UK. The client provides extensive value to the industry, supplying across the UK and across Europe. The business is experiencing brilliant growth, having made a profit of 8% despite investments into brand new sites and internal investment. The company love investing into their staff, providing the opportunity for extensive levels of training and development, all with the focus of producing world class maintenance engineers.

What you’ll be doing

As a maintenance engineer with our client, you will be responsible for maintaining an extensive range of PLC controlled machinery, with the aim of achieving the highest levels of productivity and efficiency.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance
  • Reacting to breakdowns to ensure smooth and quick production
  • Project involvement across all parts of the production line, due to the size of the business.
  • Root cause analysis and continuous improvement, to further improve efficiency
  • Installation work dependent on department within the site, including machine installations.

What the client is looking for

To be successful as a maintenance engineer with our client, you’ll need to be able to handle and maintain a heavy-duty environment, particularly large equipment, all whilst contributing and assimilating with a reactive and fast-paced environment. The client encourages a learning mindset and would like to see candidates take the initiative and build their knowledge and skills through the elite level training provided.

  • Multiskilled experience with either mechanical or electrical bias.
  • Apprentice trained and NVQ level 3 qualified.
  • Preferably some factory experience, but other industry experience is accepted alongside armed forces experience.
