Secondary Supply Teacher – Ibstone

Supply Desk are looking to place a Secondary Supply Teacher in the area of Ibstone who has a passion for teaching and is able to motivate a classroom to learn while keeping them engaged and motivated. If you are looking for flexibility then supply work is the way to go! There is no planning, no long hours and you get to experience working in other environments.

To be successful you must:

  • Have previous experience working in a school or in an education environment
  • Have an updated DBS (this can be arranged if not up-to-date)
  • Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
  • Be open to secondary year groups
  • Be confident meeting new people and working in different environments and be able to deliver a lesson with various teaching styles
  • Have a strong work ethic and a passion for teaching
  • Have good behaviour management and understand each pupil and their learning needs
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum for secondary pupils

Your role:

  • Making sure pupils receive a high standard of education and monitoring the pupil’s progression to determine how you will deliver each lesson
  • Follow the school’s policies and procedures and implement them on a daily basis.
  • Work 1-1 with pupils, in small groups and helping with a class collectively to achieve their goals
  • Helping students develop their skills while keeping them encouraged and engaged to learn in the classroom
  • Lead lessons as a supply teacher and being able to adapt to each situation depending on what you are covering
