Registered Children's Home Manager **

We're teaming up with a private care company who are looking to find a strong Registered Children's Home Manager for their Children and Young People's Service Team in the Buxton, Derbyshire area.

About the Care Company:

It is a home for children who may experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties and for those on the autism spectrum. The home is built on strong foundations of empathy, understanding, respect and acceptance of each child's individual background, experiences, preferences, challenges and needs.

Location: Buxton, Derbyshire.

Contract: Permanent.

Pay Rate: Starting from 50,157 - 52,665 per annum.

What We're Looking For:

  • You will support children aged 9-17 with varying needs, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
  • As the most senior leader in the team, not only will you ensure the welfare and care of each child but also guide and support your deputy and the team of care workers to continually grow and shape their experience and practice based on a PACE approach to supporting the learning and social and emotional wellbeing of children.
  • You will be responsible for staff recruitment, induction supervision and training. Additionally, you will lead shifts and plan rotas, ensuring placement and health plans, policies, procedures and risk assessments are followed and education is supported.
  • You will build and role model positive relationships with colleagues and foster a culture of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring that every child's needs are met.

Essential Requirements:

  • Have your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
  • Have (or be willing to work towards) your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Have substantial experience within residential childcare and working alongside young people.
  • Have demonstrable experience of managing and supervising staff.
  • Be 21 years old or above to apply due to industry regulations.
  • Have a valid driving licence.

Required Licence:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
