This role could be for you….

This small and busy structural design consultancy have projects in a wide variety of sectors, including residential and commercial buildings, hotels, churches, leisure centres and more. The firm has been running since 2017 and is expanding further. They are an up and coming practice who work on an ideas sharing ethos - small, modern and friendly with some very exciting and challenging work.

Projects are often architecturally led, include R&D work and complex structural challenges with high spec designs in a variety of materials, including specialist timber engineering. The Director is MIStructE, an IStructE reviewer, part time academic lecturer and can provide excellent hands on support for Chartership.

Projects tend to range from £250k to £7m in build value and are often bespoke and complex. The role would suit a candidate who is a good all rounder, with experience in all the main materials and who is keen for exposure to running projects and assisting the more junior engineers to deliver. The role would suit a candidate who is keen to assist with the development of this small business and helping it grow and develop.

RFEM, Materseries, Tedds and/or Tekla experience would be desirable, Revit and drainage design experience would be useful additions. They have longer term plans to become a medium sized practice. Their ethos would suit a candidate who is keen for progression and strives for technical excellence, while being part of a fun and social office environment.

In addition to salary they offer 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing further with length of service), pension, bonus scheme, subs paid, regular team lunches, CPD and training, 9-5 hours. The office space is a nice studio in a large serviced office complex, close to public transport (tube and overground), with plenty of shops and eateries in the vicinity.
