Our client is expanding their team and looking for an experienced Mortgage Administrator to join them in the Ilford area with flexible working options. This role is with an independent company dedicated to providing outstanding customer service, and they seek a motivated individual who shares their commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will be hardworking and reliable, with at least one year of experience in the mortgage industry, and will bring a positive, enthusiastic attitude to the role.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 – 17:00
  • Possibility of flexible remote working after a successful probationary period

Mortgage Administrator requirements:

  • Experience in the mortgage industry vital
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for detail
  • Positive & enthusiastic attitude with the ability to prioritise our customers’ needs and requirements at all times
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem solve, both independently and part of the team
  • Computer literate and familiarity with Microsoft office
  • Well organised with excellent time keeping

Key duties of the Mortgage Administrator will include but will not be limited to:

  • Dealing with incoming calls, emails, post and voicemails
  • Responding to any non-advisory queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaising with solicitors, lenders, estate agents and brokers to progress mortgage applications from start to finish as quickly and seamlessly as possible
  • Ensure our customer service database is kept up to date and all information held is accurate and that team members are also keeping the systems up to date/correct
  • Keeping clients & associated parties updated on the status of their applications, ensuring every step of the customer journey is as clear and stress free for the client as possible
  • Inputting cases onto the system, ensuring all details are accurate and all documents have been received in line with our compliance policies
  • Inputting mortgage/insurance applications accurately and efficiently and completing suitability reports to send to the client with all required initial information.
