Working for this Barkingside based practice as a Bookkeeper you are required to work on a part time basis (2 days per week). The practice is based in a shop front in a busy location. The successful candidate will have solid experience working within an accountancy practice environment. Applicants should possess excellent customer facing/communication skills and be IT proficient with working knowledge of MS Office. Experience of work using VT Transactions and QuickBooks software would be desirable.Duties to include:
- Input of sales, expenditure and bank transactions
- Preparing VAT returns
- Bank and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships and small companies
- Maintain client files in good order for audit checks
- Communicate with clients in person, via email or by telephone to obtain outstanding information and to service clients in general
