We are seeking passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioner's to join our team. The ideal candidate's will support childrens learning and development, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that fosters growth and creativity.
Key ResponsibilitiesChildcare and Development
- Plan and deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Provide individualized support for children, encouraging their confidence and independence.
Health, Safety, and Wellbeing
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children by maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting concerns promptly.
- Promote healthy practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and exercise.
Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with colleagues to deliver high standards of care and education.
- Participate in any required training, and internal meetings.
Essential:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of EYFS principles.
- Previous experience in a nursery, childcare, or early years setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for nurturing young children and helping them achieve developmental milestones.
- Agency staff often have the advantage of choosing shifts that suit their schedules.
- Nurseries may require availability during peak times, such as mornings, afternoons, or term breaks.
On-Call or Cover Shifts
- Varying hours to cover staff absences, often requested at short notice however there is the opportunity for long term placements.
- Could range from a single shift to multiple days, typically between 410 hours per day.
