The company provides design, construction and maintenance services to several sectors including Water, Transport and Energy.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal obligations
- Promote and adhere to environmental compliance
- Deliver works in a safe and efficient manner
- Advocate for best practices and ensure compliance with company standards
- Ensure work is delivered defect-free and meets quality standards
- Identify and highlight potential value engineering opportunities
- Establish level and survey control for contracts
- Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring regular checks
- Maintain accurate records to comply with organizational and legal requirements
- Assist in producing project plans, RAMS, ITP, and relevant check mechanisms
- Participate in the preconstruction review process and ensure stakeholder consents and permits are in place
- Monitor the commercial performance of the contract, ensuring variations are notified and quantified
- Collaborate with the Site Agent to produce short-term lookaheads for day-to-day site management
- Maintain site diaries, allocation sheets, and photographic records of work
- Work closely with the Site Agent, Sub Agent, engineers, and site teams to ensure safe project completion
- Ensure customer requirements and expectations are met or exceeded
- Support the development of HSQE documentation
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety protocols, and legal regulations
- Proficient in using robotic total stations or EDM instruments
- Degree qualified or HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
- Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office software (desirable)
- Knowledge of temporary works coordination (desirable)
- CSCS card holder (desirable)
- Cable avoidance training (desirable)
- First Aid training (desirable)
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications (desirable)
