We are working exclusively with a respected and fast-growing Business Intelligence provider that specialises in delivering high-value insights and data solutions across the Financial Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Professional Services sectors.

Their platform is used by some of the world's leading banks, insurers, asset managers, law firms and advisory businesses empowering them with the information they need to drive smarter investment, risk, and growth decisions.

As they expand their UK sales team, we are looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially minded Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within the financial, insurance, and professional services landscape.

The Role

This is a consultative, solutions-led sales role suited to a driven Business Development professional who thrives on building relationships and uncovering complex client needs. Youll be responsible for identifying and engaging new prospects, understanding their business challenges, and presenting tailored intelligence solutions that add real strategic value.

Youll need to be comfortable networking within the financial services ecosystem and have a natural curiosity about markets, trends, and dealmaking activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within financial services, insurance, legal, and related sectors
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers (e.g., analysts, partners, strategy heads, investment teams)
  • Understand client needs and match them with the companys range of data and intelligence solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and demos through to contract negotiation and closing
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and research teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM records, reporting regularly to senior management

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within financial data, business intelligence, SaaS, or professional services
  • Knowledge of financial markets, M&A activity, or insurance sector is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A consultative, curious approach to uncovering client pain points and tailoring solutions
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage and grow your own sales pipeline
  • Based within a commutable distance to London with flexibility to attend client meetings and occasional office days
