Senior - Associate Building Surveyor (MRICS)

Senior Associate Building Surveyor required to join a leading Multi-Disciplinary Construction Consultancy, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional projects predominantly in the Public Sector including: Housing, Education and Public Buildings working with Local Authorities and Housing Associations based out of their South East London / North Kent office.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing team to assist them in successfully managing and delivering projects (both New Build and Retro Fit) as well as mentoring their more junior Building Surveyors sitting between the Partners and the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a variety of Building Surveying projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct detailed building surveys.
  • Prepare specifications, reports, and tender documentation.
  • Mentor more junior members of the Building Surveying team.
  • Collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Undertake project management responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Mentor junior Building Surveyors and contribute to their professional development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with a RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering Public Sector projects.
  • Proven experience of mentoring more junior level Building Surveyors.
  • Strong knowledge of specification writing, building condition surveys, defect analysis measured surveys, preparation of formal reports, tender documentation and contracts.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
