Overview
W Talent is partnering with an industry-leading water storage solutions provider, seeking an experienced Installations Supervisor to be based in Southeast London. This is a key role within the Contracts department, responsible for site surveys, installations, and managing on-site safety standards.
You will be a vital contributor to the success of projects by providing technical support, liaising with customers, and ensuring installations are delivered to the highest standards. The role requires flexibility, with frequent travel across the agreed territory of Southeast London, and occasional international travel for unique projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and commissioning visits, providing technical reports.
- Carry out installer audits and produce action plans for improvement.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot site issues.
- Supervise tank installations to required standards.
- Assist in sourcing and maintaining a network of sub-contract installers.
- Attend site visits for assessments and remedial work.
- Maintain visibility on major projects and address customer concerns.
Key Requirements
To apply for the Installations Supervisor position, you will need relevant experience and qualifications, particularly in the heavy, water or building industry. A strong understanding of installation procedures and a customer-focused approach is essential.
Qualifications
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Confined Space training.
- Previous tank installation experience is essential, particularly with GRP and Steel tanks.
- Engineering/Construction/Water Industry qualifications (desirable).
- Commercial awareness is beneficial.
Skills & Abilities
- Minimum 5 years' tank installation experience, ideally in the water storage sector.
- Strong expertise in cylindrical, sectional steel, and GRP tanks.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and technical drawing interpretation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-focused approach.
- Capable of working independently in a virtual team, managing time effectively.
- Fully competent in health and safety, especially with RAMS.
- IT proficient, able to prepare risk assessments and method statements.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and teams.
