Job Title: Lead Behaviour Support Manager
Location: Plumstead, South East London
Salary: Scale 3 33,939 / Scale 4 36,125 per annum depending on experience
Job Type: 35 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week (39 weeks per year), Permanent

Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls' school. In response to local demand we admitted our first mixed cohort in 2018 and are now fully co-educational.

About the Role:
As Lead Behaviour Support Manager you will be a key member of the Pastoral Team with responsibility for the daily management of interventions, the IER room and the On-call system for the removal of students from classrooms.
You will:
- Maintain high standards of discipline and behaviour for students whose conduct prevents them from accessing the curriculum.
- Manage the Internal Exclusion room, ensuring that there is a programme designed to enable students to reflect on their behaviours and giving them the skills to make positive change.
- Contribute to the provision of mentoring, personalised interventions and the organisation of Restorative justice conferences as required.
- Manage the Deputy Lead Behaviour Support Manager and a team of Behaviour Support Workers.
About you:
- A knowledge of good practice in educational inclusion, diversity and access is essential
- Must have an understanding of the requirements of the current Ofsted framework
- You should be educated to at least Level 3 (A levels or Level 3 Vocational qualifications), a degree would be desirable
- You will also need to have experience of working with disadvantaged young people in Key Stages, 3 4 or 5 together with experience of using trauma informed approaches and evidence based intervention programmes or a willingness to undertake training
- You will also need experience of managing and leading a team
