Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls' school. About the Role:

As Lead Behaviour Support Manager you will be a key member of the Pastoral Team with responsibility for the daily management of interventions, the IER room and the On-call system for the removal of students from classrooms.

You will:

  • Maintain high standards of discipline and behaviour for students whose conduct prevents them from accessing the curriculum.
  • Manage the Internal Exclusion room, ensuring that there is a programme designed to enable students to reflect on their behaviours and giving them the skills to make positive change.
  • Contribute to the provision of mentoring, personalised interventions and the organisation of Restorative justice conferences as required.
  • Manage the Deputy Lead Behaviour Support Manager and a team of Behaviour Support Workers.

About you:

  • A knowledge of good practice in educational inclusion, diversity and access is essential
  • Must have an understanding of the requirements of the current Ofsted framework
  • You should be educated to at least Level 3 (A levels or Level 3 Vocational qualifications), a degree would be desirable
  • You will also need to have experience of working with disadvantaged young people in Key Stages, 3 4 or 5 together with experience of using trauma informed approaches and evidence based intervention programmes or a willingness to undertake training
  • You will also need experience of managing and leading a team
