We are happy to advertise for an intervention TA in a lovely school in Redbridge. They are looking for a committed and successful Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their motivated team.

 Job Purpose

 ·        To support small groups or individuals, who have been identified by their teachers to be in need of short-term intervention in maths and/or English.

 Tasks and Expectations

  • To liaise with the Teacher regarding content and delivery of intervention.
  • To establish relationships with pupils to facilitate their learning.
  • To develop and maintain professional relationships with parents and guardians to further support pupils, alongside the class teachers.
  • To assist pupils with particular support required for reading, writing, spelling, understanding vocabulary and mathematical concepts.
  • To assist in assessing and maintaining records of progress.
  • The ability to use own initiative in sourcing resources and using software.
  • To interact with, and to support, children in fostering an enthusiasm for learning and to promote pastoral care.
  • To attend in-service training.
  • To ensure that the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • The hours and duties are reviewed each July in readiness for the following September.
