Empowering Learning is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Ilford. We are seeking a dedicated individual ready to positively impact students' lives in an inclusive educational setting.

Please note this is a full-time position and you will be required to work Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their safety and full participation in school activities.
  • Assist classroom teachers in lesson planning and delivery, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents as necessary to support academic and personal development.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that promotes the well-being and academic success of all students.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children who have SEN within an educational context.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) support are highly desirable.
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday- usually 8.30am to 4pm
